Ned Day is currently employed full time as a Catalog Art Director. His interest in sculpture began and flourished while working on his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communication. Ned has continued his interest in sculpture ever sinse. He has completed many works in a broad spectrum of medias. Ned’s main focus, however, has been working with traditional materials such as stone and bronze. What defines Ned Day’s body of work is the following. A pragmatic philosophy of “truth to materials,” as well as his aesthetic approach to explore the mysterious power of line. His artistic motivation is the hope that others enjoy the experience viewing his work as much as he experiences joy in creating it.
